Mar.23 has gone and past, and I’ve been too lazy, too busy, and simply involved in other stuff to really document the progress we’ve accomplished thus far. But, here it is, simply four days late.

Well I’ve been busy lately this week due to a lot of ECON and CS homework that I’ve been slacking off on. That, and the fact Lordcag, contrary to all belief, actually started up the the War of Lords D&D game and thus I’ve been working on my game entry submission. The War of Lords game idea originated from a discussion me and my friends had way back that, what if, in a D&D game, instead of everyone running some random characters, the PCs were all rulers of states, each commanding the people of an entire nation. Frankly, I never thought this idea would get off the ground due to the complexity, research, and knowledge such a game entailed. Boy was I surprised (and joyous) when the announcement came.
Therefore, I am now entering as a monarch/nation filled with KEY references.
(btw, I still need to finish that drawing with Rika. Although I’ve been messing around with the thought of a slightly altered hairstyle. Will keep posted)
Well, as me and Honya have decided that the third heroine position and arc will be left blank until we acquire a writer for her, whoever she will be, I’m left with no immediate scheduled work for myself. I’ve been researching into concepts on helping Honya design the sketches for the remaining main characters, but not much insight has entered my mind lately. Although there is a few ideas, keep reading for details.
In the meantime, I’ve been updating the project wiki, accessible on the topbar. As of today, I have transferred over the Project Overview, Earth Setting History, and written the short descriptions for the Imperium Heirs and the setting’s worlds. More will come! But as I do not plan to write the above pages a second time and perform any major edits, I figure I do my best job on the first and final draft.
For the purpose of documenting both compiled information and random ideas, I’ve set up the The Imperium Project Wiki and reestablished the Project Forums, now accessible through the header links.
- The wiki will be used for documenting compiled design information and finished data.
- The forums will be used for discussion of general ideas and collecting random thoughts.
After Honya has agreed to take upon the design of the Sofiya path, I’m merely responsible the Aorin path now. This is a good thing since I’ve been far too lazy this week (darn you Brawl!) and procrastinated too much for the deadline today.
I should note however that one of the ideas I’m fooling around with is that Aorin’s scenes will not only be limited to her own path, but many of them may be selected even during the other paths (up to the First Sword scene), although his exact lines and thoughts will differ.
Major spoilers for anyone not involved in the storyline development.

Next on the storyline draft is the second chapter of the story - the Astraea Arc. This arc is pretty simple in general planning, since it evolves very few main events, although I expect a large number of the scenes (including path scenes) to take place here. There are two main objective during the Astraea Arc:
- Take control of the Federation Expeditionary Force (FEF), recruit Tolkin if possible.
- Convince Exelar to take the crown as Emperor. The Astraea arc finishes the Exelar’s coronation and the discovery of Penthiae

So after spending my time doing all the curriculum related work for which I should have done over Spring Break, while being lazy on my limited spare time (I did beat Silent Storm, heil panzerkleins!). However, I really need to get back onto my designing role, and the first boulder to knock out of the way is the names.
I’m seriously tired of having nothing to call the last Imperium Heir by except ‘last char’.
Thus, March 10 has come and gone by, however it seems we were not able to meet our self-imposed deadlines. Somehow to me this came as all too expected, since extracurricular hobbyist projects like this with no pay or grades have a tendency to fall behind schedule, mostly because there is a lack of incentive to really work on it instead of lazying around. This is particularly the case over Spring break when every other college student around the country is either being lazy, or planning ahead for the summer.
Hooray! Honya has finished the character sketches for the Imperium Heirs, well the female ones at least (trust him to draw all the girls first). However I must say I am quite impressed by their drawings. They were far better than what I had hoped for.
Well, allow me the moment to comment on them.
This is a preliminary storyline for the first stages of The Imperium Project. The focus of these earlier drafts will be on main events, battles, and key scenes/decision-points, although ideas for supporting scenes can be thrown in.
